We Americans really do get a lot of shit sometimes just for our nationality, people are quick to associate certain "bad" traits to American culture and cast judgment based on stereotypes. Well I'm proud to be an American (even more proud to be a New Yorker), because my American values have taught me not to be judgmental, and to be humble about my own culture and respectful of others'. You can take pride in your country teaching you to believe that sticking your nose up at others equates to politeness, good for you, but don't deny my right to be thankful for mine.
