Pokemon has been such a big part of my life... it brought me together with people that I never thought I'd become friends with... waking up early in the morning before school to watch the anime... buying the trading cards... so much of my early adolescence revolved around it. Even if it's just a huge marketing scheme to make money off of children, there is a certain joy exclusive to the fantastic world of Pokemon that it has created for children.
