Meeting Joey was definitely a highlight to this new year. It's a nice feeling to find someone who "gets it" about living their twenties in Bangkok, the experience is quite exclusive to this city and there's a whole lot of tragedy but also a wealth of poetry about it. While Joey and I are different in personality, we both understand how we take simple things like genuineness and kindness for granted. In our short acquaintance, Joey has definitely somehow made me feel like "home"... a feeling that I haven't been able to find too much of lately in people I've met.
