The one thing that I appreciate the most about traveling is meeting people who are extremely eccentric. Alessandro is a prime example of that... a student in Japanese religion from Italy who speaks English with a Japanese accent, in Tokyo for a koto-playing apprenticeship. Of course, beyond that I also deeply appreciate him for his presence, and learning about Tokyo though his eyes. Also for tolerating me when I mad dashed into the TV Asahi shop for their Doraemon merchandise.
